Pulling the camshaft pulleys exposes the metal inner timing belt
cover. Remove this.
Reminder to self: make sure when you start putting things back together and install the new belt, that you remember to put this plate back on first. This mistake happened to me and I had forgotten to put the inner plate back on, and the timing belt was in place and all checked out. After nuttering some choice words, I had to waste time taking things apart, and redoing the work. |
