Position the breaker bar on the crankshaft bolt and brace it against
the floor. Bump start the car. The crankshaft will rotate clockwise
and because the breaker bar is braced against the floor, the bolt will
be loosened. Definitely a lot easier than doing it by hand.
Make sure the connector on the CAS is disconnected. For 1.8L cars, I've read that not doing this could cause one's ignition coil to burn out if you repeatedly bump start the car. |
