My car was used by Jim Langer (Director of Marketing) at Racing Beat as a "test mule" to test the air intake and their exhaust system. A week later, it was used by Jim again to document installation of their air intake unit. After putting it in and taking digital pictures of the installation, he left it in my car as a thank-you for loaning him my car. The Flying Miata strut tower brace that I had in my car had to be removed because it interfered with the air intake.
The picture below is the dyno chart of my car before and after the air intake was installed. It also shows the result when a Racing Beat exhaust is combined with the air intake.
08/09/99 - 2 thermometers with a 10ft probe (from Radio shack) are used for measuring air temperature going into the intake and air temp going into the front radiator grill.
