I had to round down the corner of the plastic base plate to get the battery to fit with the existing L-shaped bracket.

You can see how Optimabatterstore.com had trimmed the base plate of the battery. It was reduced from a width of 6 3/4 inches to about 6 inches. With the base plate trimmed, the battery is able to snugly fit in the stock location.
