Fall Trek to the Easter Sierra
October 16 and 17, 1999

Last updated 10/18/99

These are pictures from a trip to the Eastern Sierras that my wife, Jeanne, organized for the SOCALM and SDMC Miata Clubs. Throughout the weekend, 24 cars and 40 people from the Los Angeles and San Diego areas made the drive north up Highway 395. We started in Lone Pine on Saturday, and made our way up to Bishop by Saturday evening. On Sunday we headed north to Mono Lake, and then headed back to Bishop on Sunday evening. Throughout the weekend we drove some great roads of the Eastern Sierras, viewed scenic mountain vistas and took in gorgeous fall colors. In all, the trip included about 1000 miles of driving.

A million words couldn't begin to describe the memorable moments that were shared by all of the Miata-folks that came together during the weekend. But, here are a few photos that give a small sampling of what went on during the trip.
